Identify whether cartons were added, removed or replaced

Adding a carton, consolidating two cartons, replacing a damaged carton or removing a piece changes the tender facts. Record final count, piece identifier, carton type and reason; do not leave old labels, handover records and cartons in conflict.

Measure and weigh every finished carton

Provide final length-width-height, actual gross weight, pallet/crate status and clear photos for each piece. UPS guidance describes aggregating billable weight for multi-piece shipments, but the applicable method, limits and remeasurement remain subject to origin, service and carrier requirements.

Synchronise labels and declaration records

Piece labels, waybill count, packing list, invoice quantity and goods distribution must match reality. Do not retain a removed carton in documents or tender a new carton with a reused label. Where description, quantity, packing, value allocation or importer data changes, update it truthfully and seek renewed review.

Allow extra review time for special cargo and peak operations

For powders, cosmetics, pastes and chemical materials, a carton change can also require review of SDS/MSDS, inner and outer packing, leak protection and per-piece quantity. Peak-season windows, capacity and service availability can change; complete information supports review but does not guarantee carriage, timing or the earlier quote.

Adjust handover only after confirmation

Submit final count, measurements, photos, changed facts and destination information, then wait for the applicable channel’s review before printing labels or tendering. Price, chargeable weight, duties, scope, clearance and final billing remain subject to shipment review, carrier requirements and actual quote.
